Micklethwait, LaV, Red Star Southern & Others Announced for Live Fire

All proceeds will benefit the Austin Food & Wine Alliance.

The full lineup for the fifth Live Fire was announced today, including Austin chefs like Tom Micklethwait, Noble Sandwich’s Brandon Martinez, LaV's Janina O'Leary, Red Star Southern’s Erica Wakmunski, and others from throughout Texas. The "beef-centric live-fire cooking event" will take place on Thursday, April 9 from 6:30-9 p.m. at Salt Lick Barbecue in Driftwood. There will be wine and drinks, including this year's Official Drink of Austin winner Garage’s Indian Paintbrush cocktail. The $85 tickets to the Austin Food & Wine Alliance fundraiser on sale now. In its fifth year, Live Fire will showcase a chef congress featuring protein royalty from all over the Lone Star State, including Scott Roberts of The Salt Lick and Tom Micklethwait of Micklethwait Craft Meats in Austin; San Antonio favorite Jason Dady of Jason Dady Restaurants; Patrick Feges of Feges BBQ and Rebecca Masson of Fluff Bake Bar in Houston; and more.

Texas culinary firebrands that will be featured at Live Fire include the following: Jeff Martinez of Alcomar; Janina O’Leary of laV; Fiore Tedesco of L’Oca D’Oro; David Uygur of Lucia in Dallas; Jessica Maher of Lenoir; Diego Galicia of Mixtli in San Antonio; Erica Waksmunski of Red Star Southern; Joshua Jones of Salt & Time Butcher Shop & Salumeria; Brandon Martinez of Noble Sandwiches; Kristine Kittrell of Weather Up; Page Pressley of St Philip Pizza Parlor & Bakeshop; Alexis Chong of Sway; Azhar Mohammad of The Carillon; Joe Anguiano of VOX Table; Scott Higby of TRIO; John Philpot of The Monterey in San Antonio; Eric Lucas of Whole Foods Market.
