For her work at wine-focused Provencal restaurant LaV, Vilma Mazaite has been named one of Food & Wine's Sommeliers of the Year. The magazine praises Mazaite's mastery of Burgundy and willingness to introduce Austinites to "obscure grapes." LaV opened in March of 2014 with a massive wine cellar, and staffs a total of three sommeliers.
