As a sign of menu changes to come, Alamo Drafthouse founder Tim League took to Facebook today to ask fans which Austin restaurant has the best queso and salsa in town. He added, "I'm game for changing up our recipe but would love to hear your feedback before we embark on that mission." Popular answers so far include Torchy’s, Maudie’s, Chuy’s, and Kerbey Lane. Earlier this week, League also asked for feedback on what ruins the movie house experience for guests.

Alamo changed their menu in 2013, much to the displeasure of everyone. Currently on the menu is the hatch green chile queso blanco, with options to add chorizo/soyrizo, avocados, and charred tomato salsa. Before that, League described the previous iteration of their queso as "easy melt (basically velveta) mixed with a bit of fresh salsa," as he wrote on Reddit.
