An Austrian chef will bring 'European flair' to the city's dining scene next week. Florian Prelog has released a "birth announcement" for his restaurant Prelog's, which will open at Nueces and West 3rd March 6th. The restaurant will serve "French fusion" cuisine and feature a "centre stage" kitchen and an emphasis on chefs' interactions with diners. Soft opening previews kick off March 2nd.
According to their website, the restaurant will serve lunch, dinner, brunch, and offer both a regular and reverse happy hour. Prelog comes to Austin from Cafe Sacher in Innusbruck, where his cooking was noted by the New York Times. In a blog post, Prelog says he chose to open a restaurant in Austin due to its openness to new dining experiences and its "lively energy."
