Burnet Road gets another new neighborhood restaurant when 416 Bar & Grille opens this afternoon. The restaurant will offer what they call "Americana" fare, focusing on local ingredients. There will be a full bar and brunch is in the works. The bar/grill hosted a family and friends dinner on Saturday before officially opening. There will be a signature cocktail, the 41-"Sixer", made with whiskey, Paula’s Texas Lemon liqueur, raspberry, and angosturo bitters. Both fried chicken and chicken pot pie will be on the menu.
416 was announced last summer. The father and son team behind the bar, John and Colin Jurey, both come from a restaurant background. John graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and owned his own place in Florida. Both worked in various restaurants, including Colin at 24 Diner. The restaurant hours will be from 4:30pm to midnight.
