The new casual restaurant Sala and Betty is testing out their drive-thru right now, as seen by the newly unveiled drive-thru menu sent to Eater Austin by a tipster. Patrons are encouraged to try the restaurant's offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner this week.
On the lineup are salads; sandwiches, like namesakes The Sala (roasted chicken) and The Betty (slow roasted pork); a build-your-own breakfast including biscuits and eggs; and a la carte entrees like beef sirloin, rotisserie chicken, and grilled vegetables. Desserts include an ever-changing brûlée of the day. The lunch and dinner menus, which are available online, will expand, too, offering soups, salmon, lamp chops, and more.
The restaurant was announced at the end of 2014 by chef and owner Teresa Wilson, of the former French Aquarelle. It took over the old Stallion Grill space.
