Explore Lucy’s Fried Chicken’s Lake Travis Paradise

So much patio.

Lucy’s Fried Chicken’s newest location out along Lake Travis is an outdoor fried chicken oasis. The third location officially opens today, but it soft opened for friends and family on Sunday. Eater got a sneak peek at Lake Travis' new patio-heavy dining destination during the crowded event.

There are great views of Lake Travis from every corner of the mostly-outdoors space. The main indoor dining room includes a fireplace and indoor/outdoor bar. The outdoor stage is designed in the similar aesthetic from the first two Lucy’s locations. There is also a separate events room. In front of the building is a children’s playground with a jungle gym and giant tire tunnel.

The expanded menu includes water-themed dishes with punny names like Bikini Bites (grilled vegetables) and Hippie Hollow Shrimp Cocktail, a nod to nearby nude beach of the same name, made with naked Gulf shrimp. Lucy's on the Lake opens today at 11 a.m.
