Hedgehog Bottle Shop & Barrelhouse is seeking to become Austin’s next hot spot for craft beer, now that co-founders Dash and Jonathan Harris found a location in the Hill Country. The Austin-raised couple launched launched a Kickstarter this week to raise funds to help finish the beer store’s construction.. They’re seeking to raise $21,000 by Tuesday, January 5. Rewards include invitations to the backers-only opening party, homebrewing lessons, hedgehog stickers, apparel, tickets to events, and more.

The beer shop will feature over 400 different bottles available to-go, with 40 found on tap. There will be patio seating, food, and a hedgehog mural. Eventually, the Harrises plan on expanding the beer selection to over 700 labels. Beer education will be part of Hedgehog as well, with weekly classes, events, and guest tastings. It will be found at 9521 West Highway 290, near deli Lox, Box, & Barrel, which will open next year.
