— Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from Kiss are opening another location of the rock n’ roll-themed restaurant and bar in San Antonio. Since it is opening within the AT&T Center, Stanley will perform the national anthem at the Spurs game on the restaurant's opening day on December 11 and host a meet-and-greet.

— Sonya Cote was featured in a Tastemade video, where she spoke about Eden East, seasonal food as art, and wild edibles.

— Longtime Tex Mex restaurant La Fuente’s is closing down this month.

— Buzz Mill Coffee is expanding with a third location out in San Marcos, opening in March. Like the original one on East Riverside, it will be open 24 hours daily. The menu will highlight breakfast dishes. The coffee shop is also in the process of opening a second one near South Congress.

Among Dallas Morning News’s nominees for Texan of the Year is Tyson Cole because of his Dallas outpost of Uchi.
