It’s the last weekend before Christmas, so there is still time to make those Christmas Eve and day plans and partake in hot cocktails and holiday sweets. Otherwise, keep yourself busy with these three food and drink events this weekend.

POP-UP WIRE — Along with tamales, Lenoir’s pastry chef Thomas Calhoun will be selling doughnuts and venison sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches at the South First restaurant’s wine garden.
