Kendall Melton is joining the inventive team of Odd Duck as the new pastry sous chef. She already left her position as executive pastry chef of co-owners Jeff Courington and Kelly Bell's long-awaited Italian restaurant Al Fico, which she helped open in October with executive chef Clinton Bertrand
In her new job, Melton will work under executive pastry chef Susana Querejazu. She begins on Sunday, December 27. Before Al Fico, she headed the pastry programs at Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop and Contigo. Over the summer, she staged at L’Arpege in Paris with chef Alain Passard.
