— Whole Foods’ latest hire is Tien Ho, a chef who previously worked at Momofuku, Ma Peche, Cafe Boulud, and the Driskill in Austin, among other places. He will serve as the company’s new vice president of culinary and hospitality.

— Johnson’s Backyard Garden highlighted Lola Stephens-Bell’s charity work with Nubian Queen Lola’s Cajun Soul Food, where she donates and delivers free meals to those in need throughout the city. She guesses that she makes about 1,200 to 1,500 dinners a week. The farm also donates produce to her.
