Alexis Chong IN as Foreign & Domestic’s Chef de Cuisine

Alexis Chong, previously executive chef of Sway, is now chef de cuisine of Foreign & Domestic. She will work under owner and executive chef Ned Elliott. With the new hire, the menu will take on a French angle, as he told Austin 360, bringing back favorite dishes like crispy beef tongue.

Ned Elliott opened Foreign & Domestic on North Loop in 2010. Rene Ortiz was the original chef of Sway in 2012, but left in April 2013. Chong took over the position in August 2013, but departed this past March. The modern Thai restaurant is expanding with two new locations in The Domain and Westlake next year, too.
