Tour Pizzeria Vetri’s First Austin Location in Urban Outfitters

Pizza and burgers on the Drag.

Nadia Chaudhury is the editor of Eater Austin covering food and pop culture, as well as a photographer, writer, and frequent panel moderator and podcast guest.

Marc Vetri’s Pizzeria Vetri opens tomorrow as part of Space 24 Twenty, the latest Urban Outfitters complex along the Drag. Eater photographer Robert J. Lerma takes a tour of the intimate red-hued pizzeria. Inside, the 15 stools face either the bar or the open kitchen. Along with the outdoor patio, which seats 65 people, the space opens up into the shared courtyard, where there will be food trucks selected by the Philadelphia chef. The pizzeria's menu will use produce from local farms for Neapolitan-style pizza, which will include an Austin-inspired pie. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.

This is Pizzeria Vetri’s first out-of-state location, with plans for more in the city and elsewhere. Vetri, who sold a majority of his restaurant group to the retail company this week, told Philly Eater that the restaurants will become a brand within Urban Outfitters, but still maintain its identity. Michael Symon’s Burger Joint already opened this week in Space 24 Twenty.
