Sushi trailer Kyoten’s announced Mueller brick and mortar will feature omakase when it opens next year, as reported by Austin 360. Named Kyoten Sushiko, the $150 eight-person tasting menu will have 20 dishes centered mostly on fish. Owner and chef Otto Phan told the publication, "My goal is to be the best sushi restaurant in the world."
Kyoten Sushiko will also include casual dining, along with a take-out menu with rice bowls, rolls, and boxed-style sushi. Counter and table seating will be available in the space on 4600 Mueller Boulevard, within the Mosaic complex. The omakase section of the restaurant is set to debut first.
To get ready for the new place, which is set to open early to mid-2016, Kyoten will shut down its trailer by the end of January.
