Lustre Pearl East, the original bar that was transported from its home on Rainey to 114 Linden last spring, will open on Thursday, November 5 Update, November 4: The bar's opening is being pushed back to Friday, November 6, according to a rep. The bar is still owned by Bridget Dunlap, who is also working on the second second Lustre Pearl on 94 Rainey Street. She said in a press release:

It was crucial to restore this incredible house, to replicate everything the original Lustre, built in 1895, embodied, to give our customers back the space they made an institution. It’s been a labor of love and we are excited to once again have a full house.

Chef Carson Symmonds, who also works for another Dunlap restaurant Mettle, is helming Lustre Pearl East’s kitchen, creating sandwiches like patty melts and po’boys, and salads. Upgraded changes include new plumbing and electrical system. The relocated building sits near a second building with a kitchen and an extra bar for Lustre.

During its opening, Lustre Pearl will just open on Monday and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to midnight, and Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight. Regular hours will be daily from 11 a.m. to midnight. Along with the two Lustre Pearls, Dunlap also recently opened a new Italian restaurant and pizzeria on East 6th Street: Burn. She also oversees Clive Bar, Bar 96, Container Bar.
