Emmer & Rye, the New American restaurant on Rainey Street, will start serving brunch on Sunday, November 22. Menu items will include polenta with a soft egg, kale, and cheese, pancakes made with chestnut and ricotta, sweet porridge, and breakfast sandwiches with Texas toast. The restaurant’s dim sum-style service will showcase pastries from pastry chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph, including sweet potato and persimmon roll cakes and orange marmalade tea scones. Brunch hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Chef and owner Kevin Fink debuted his restaurant within the SkyHouse apartment complex on November 7. The menu at Emmer & Rye highlights very local and seasonal ingredients, produce, along with fermented goods and grains.
