Essential food truck Three Little Pigs now has a new home after being uprooted from Rosewood Avenue because of East End Wines' shutter earlier this month. Chef Ray Tatum’s trailer will now be found up in Brentwood as part of neighborhood bar The Aristocrat Lounge. While there is no set opening date, Tatum predicts he will start serving his comfort food tomorrow, November 19, or Saturday, November 20. This is the bar’s first food trailer.
Update, November 20, 10:54 a.m.: Three Little Pigs is now open at The Aristocrat Lounge. It will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
While it was open, East End Wines charged the on-site Three Little Pigs customers a $7 corkage fee to enjoy any of the bottles of wine from the wine shop paired with Tatum’s meaty menu. As a longtime Austin chef, Tatum worked for Jeffrey’s, under the original owners Ron and Peggy Weiss, before they sold the restaurant to Larry McGuire. Randall Stockton took over the former Poodle Dog Lounge space on Burnet and transformed it into The Aristocrat Lounge last November.
