Taco Cabana Fire, Food Trailer Park Will Become An Office Building, and More A.M. Intel

The latest five restaurant tidbits in Austin served right now.

— A far south Taco Cabana on Mopac and William Cannon caught on fire very early this morning because of an electrical glitch. No one was hurt.

— Hat Creek Burger Co. and Whole Foods were named as two of Austin’s best workplaces of the year.

— Noodles & Company is closing down its five Austin locations. The first location to shutter was on the Drag this month. The pasta chain opened in Austin back in 2011.

— The food trailer park on 801 Barton Springs, including Short Bus Subs, will make way for an office building with restaurant opening sometime in 2017. Construction would begin next year.
