— It’s finally here: Texas Monthly found the state’s 120 best tacos, which was teased last year with a special Austin feature. While the entire list is available in this month’s issue, the magazine published the very top ten tacos of Texas. Austin is repped with the brisket taco from Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ.
— Guero’s Taco Bar’s floor repairs took longer than expected and the South Congress restaurant will reopen on Tuesday, November 17 instead.
— Swift’s Attic and Counter 3.Five.VII had to temporarily close on Friday evening because of structural damage in the building next door. Both restaurants reopened shortly later that night.
