Violet Taco, the dedicated downtown trailer from Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ, is opening earlier to serve breakfast tacos and lunch at Star Bar right now. The expected morning taco fixings will be available, including egg, potato, cheese, brisket, chorizo, and more. For lunch, the same dinner menu will be served, like the speciality tacos and street corn, along with some midday-only specials. It will open at 9 a.m. every day, and serve until 2 p.m. Evening hours begin at 5 p.m.

Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ was originally based in Star Bar down on West Sixth, but left in April due to the bar’s renovations. The essential Austin trailer moved down to Brodie Lane, and eventually made South Austin its permanent home. Violet Taco first opened with East Cesar Chavez bar Craftsman in May, but closed down this summer because of code issues. The sister taco trailer took over Valentina’s spot at Star Bar this August.
