Underrated barbecue favorite Mann’s Smokehouse BBQ is closing down, according its Facebook page. The 18-year-old restaurant will remain open for regular hours until Wednesday, November 25, fittingly the day before Thanksgiving.

Mann’s served up Austin barbecue with a Georgia touch from pitmaster Kathleen Mann. She took over the restaurant from her parents, Jim and Sallie. The family moved to Austin from Georgia and opened the spot in 1996. The menu included brisket, sausage, and ribs, along with pulled pork done up Southeastern-style as a nod to their state roots.
