In-N-Out Burger, the cultishly loved California burger chain, opened this morning on South Lamar. This is the chain’s fourth location in Austin. Expect long drive-thru and walk-in lines for animal-style double-double burgers, fries, and more. The site used to be home to Wendy’s until In-N-Out demolished the building in April.
The first Austin In-N-Out Burger opened on Airport Boulevard in 2013, followed by restaurants in Round Rock and Cedar Park. Further up South Lamar, Shake Shack opened its first Texas outpost in the Lamar Union complex.
The South Lamar location is open from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
