Michael Symon’s Austin venture, Symon’s Burger Joint, will open in Urban Outfitter’s Space 24 Twenty on Sunday, November 16 Update, 1:27 p.m.: by the weekend of November 21, according to a rep who said the date was adjusted. Watch this space for the exact date soon. S
The counter-service only restaurant (a take on the Ohio chef's B Spot Burgers chain) will serve traditional burgers, including the signature Symon Burger and a special Longhorns-themed one. Because it is Texas, hot links will be available, too.
Symon's Burger Joint joins Philadelphia chef Marc Vetri's first out-of-state pizzeria, which is set to open on Saturday, November 21. There is also a third concept for the Urban Outfitters project, which is potentially run by John Besh and Aaron Sanchez, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The shared courtyard will feature food trucks curated by Vetri.
Space 24 Twenty is Urban Outfitter’s third "lifestyle concept," in the country, after New York and Los Angeles, incorporating food, drink, retail, and other services. The company took over a block on the Drag between 24th and 25th streets in June.
