Juniper, the Northern Italian restaurant helmed by Uchi alum Nicholas Yanes, will open on Tuesday, October 13. Dishes will include blistered burrata, pig ears, and for brunch, oxtail and rosemary lasagna. Pastry chef Kerstin Bellah, also from the Uchi group, will create a spin on the dinner mint spin, pistachio cannoli, and other sweets. On the drinks side, there’s wine and a big emphasis on gins. House cocktails will include the Little Visitor with tequila, gran classico, and aperol. Along with dining room and bar seating, there will be a lounge, 12-seat chef’s counter, family-style table, and courtyard seating.

Yanes previewed the restaurant over the summer with a series of pop-up dinners at Qui, Barley Swine, Foreign & Domestic, and Lenoir. He announced that he was opening the restaurant in fall of 2014. Juniper’s hours will be from Tuesday to Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m., Friday from 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m, and dinner from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Now all eyes are on Al Fico as the last impending Italian opening of the year.
