Free Tacos from El Chilito for Fun Fun Fun Fest

Fun Fun Fun Fest is giving away free tacos from El Chilito tomorrow, Thursday, October 8, as part of its food and beverage announcement. The East 7th spot is also the official taco provider for the November festival’s much-lauded taco cannons. The first 100 people who arrive at El Chilito between 12 to 1 p.m. will receive a free taco, hopefully from the taco cannon that will be set up at the restaurant. This year’s festival will be held on Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8.

Torchy's Tacos were the first to lend its tacos to Fun Fun Fun Fest’s inaugural cannons in 2012. However, Torchy’s didn't appreciate the festival's switch to Tamale House East in 2013 and started a taco feud. A taco place in Omaha claimed to have invented the taco cannons, but Fun Fun Fun Fest immediately disputed that. The cannons are so popular that it made an appearance in a recent episode of South Park, too.
