Nightcap, the forthcoming dessert bar slated for Clarksville, is set to open by Monday, November 30, according to owner Christin Rowan. Executive chef Josh Matlock is no longer with the project. Replacing him is Drew Dunston, who worked with Matlock at Paggi House. Dunston will oversee the entire kitchen, but the team is still looking for a pastry-focused chef.

The kitchen will whip up both sweet and savory dishes. Slated for the opening menu are two dessert plates, what she described as two "home run" confections, a sharable platter, boozy milkshakes, and a cookie program. Bar snacks and other plates will also be available. Think fish, bread, fruits, vegetables, and unusual ice cream flavors. Then, of course there will be classic and house cocktails, along with sparkling wine.

Rowan and Matlock met while working at the now-shuttered Kenichi. The new bar and restaurant was announced in 2013, but the team faced permitting issues, which delayed construction.
