Whataburger Sneakers, Blue Bell Ice Cream Delivery, and More A.M. Intel

The latest five restaurant tidbits in Austin served right now.

— Whataburger had recently discovered orange and white sneakers inspired by the burger chain. The shoes were created by Texas designer Dank Customs in 2012. For some reason, Whataburger deleted the original tweet.

California chain Del Taco is shuttering almost all of its Texas locations. This includes two in Austin, one in Cedar Park and the other in Round Rock.

— Now that Blue Bell Ice Cream is back after the Listeria contamination, the company is adding on a new service: next-day ice cream delivery across the country.

— Zagat put together a list of the best pizza, broken down by state. Texas was represented with Spartan Trailer’s Pegasus pie.

— Austin was included in Conde Nast Traveler’s list of dog-friendly vacation spots, mentioning Yard Bar, Dog House Drinkery in Leander, and The Driskill’s dog beds.
