Pinthouse Pizza’s anticipated second location is now open on South Lamar, as tweeted by director of brewing Joe Mohrfield today. The new brewery and restaurant found on 4236 South Lamar is larger than the original one on Burnet Road. It also includes an outdoor patio. The first beer brewed at the brewery was Blind Jake Porter in September. The brewpub's menu ranges from craft beers, pizza (as well as gluten-free crusts), salads, and monthly Off the Map pie specials. Hours are not posted yet, but it will be open for lunch and dinner.
The pizzeria announced plans for the south location last October. It took over the former Chili’s found within the Brodie Oaks shopping center. Similarly, another essential pizzeria Home Slice is also opening a second location across the river on North Loop next year.
