Austin is set to get a lot of rain this weekend, so try to keep dry during these four events around town.

BEER HEREToday marks the beginning of Austin Beer Week. The kick-off party tonight, Friday, October 23, is taking place at Craft Pride at 6 p.m. There are also beer dinners at restaurants like St. Philip and Hopfields, special tappings, brewery tours, and more. Check out the official website for the full lineup. [EaterWire]

TRUFFLE WIRE — It’s time for white truffles at Congress and Apis. There’s two ways to enjoy the Italian truffle from Congress: either through the seven course tasting menu that will cost $245 ($325 with wine pairings), or get five grams of the delicacy for $75. Truffles will be used in different dishes on the Apis menu, including an omelet this week. Both are available until the end of November. [EaterWire]

WINDSOR PARKTiff’s Treats got former Longhorn Vince Young to show up for the grand opening of its sixth store on 51st Street on Sunday, October 25. Young will sign autographs, and the sweets shop will donate proceeds from cookie sales to the Foster Angels of Central Texas starting at 1 p.m. [EaterWire]

MUELLER — To celebrate Blue Owl Brewery’s opening, the sour mashing experts are teaming up with Contigo for a launch party and pig roast on Sunday. From 6 to 9 p.m., the $35 reservation includes food and drink. [EaterWire]
