Voodoo Doughnut, the beloved iconic Portland doughnut shop, is ready to officially open its doors full-time on Saturday, October 31, after a series of intermittent soft openings. The cash-only store will be open 24/7, ready for doughnut lovers and the drunk masses on Dirty Sixth at all hours of the day and night. The Halloween opening day will begin at 2 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony, a wedding, doughnut-eating contest, and music. Expect to find the signature voodoo doughnuts, crazy flavors with cereal and bacon, and some racy options that will come in handy for bachelorette parties.
The anticipated Austin location of Voodoo Doughnut took over the former Bourbon Girl spot on East 6th Street this past March. This is the store’s fifth location, and its second beyond the Oregon border. Applications for staff are also being accepted. Lines for the soft openings have been long, and currently, Voodoo is temporarily open right now until Sunday, October 25.
