Entourage actor and environmental activist Adrian Grenier checked out the cats of Blue Cat Cafe today. He posed for a photo with one of the adoptable cats, Sally. If anyone takes her home, Blue Cat will make a donation right back to the cafe in that person's name and Grenier's. Over the weekend, the first feline resident was adopted by a family.
Grenier is most likely in town for Dell World, the technology conference taking place in Austin this weekend, because he is the official social good advocate. Since he is in town, he is also on the hunt for amazing tacos. The last time he was in the city, he went to Torchy’s Tacos, and was pleased with that decision.
Blue Cat Cafe opened this past Saturday, October 17, after launching a Kickstarter in February. The opening was met with a group of protesters who were rallying against the cafe’s landlord F&F Real Estate Ventures, because of the sudden demolition of the adjacent piñata store Jumpolin, which happened in February.
