West Sixth Street is getting a new bar next year with the opening of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Icehouse, as reported by Community Impact. WTF Icehouse (for short) is co-owned by Kahran Espili and three unnamed partners. The group is looking to create a place that is similar to establishments on Rainey Street. It’s unclear on whether the name or the abbreviation came first.

As seen by the rendering, the renovated site on 701 West Sixth Street will be blocked from the sidewalk by walls. There will be an outdoor bar and lounge seating, and a counter window to serve food to passersby. The building of former tenant Gatti’s Pizza will be gutted for indoor seating. It’s set to debut sometime in 2016, and will be open every day.
