La Barbecue will start serving dinner on Thursday, October 15 after settling into the trailer’s new digs at the Aztec Food Trailer Park on East Cesar Chavez. Evening hours will held on Thursday to Saturday starting at 6 p.m. until everything sells out. While the menu will change, it will initially have pork buns and buffalo quail, as noted by Austin 360. The trailer is currently near Stay Gold, Craftsman, and Drinks Lounge.
Never fear, lunch will still be available at its usual time of 11 a.m. Wednesday to Sunday. On deck alongside the delicious smoked meats overseen by pitmasters Jack Zizzo and Esaul Ramos are housemade pickled vegetables like okra and jalapenos.
The trailer moved further east to from the Good Life Park to its new home in late September. General manager Ali Clem assured Eater they’ll "be planting our wheels here for a long time." La Barbecue was originally set to open a brick and mortar on South Congress, but those plans fell through.
