Beloved Campus Veggie Heaven to Reopen on West Fifth

After shuttering in December, campus favorite Veggie Heaven is reopening on West 5th Street by founder Mei Chen’s daughter Stacy, as reported by Austin 360. The vegetarian restaurant originally closed because Mei wanted to retire.

Expected updates include beer, wine, and new dishes, with vegan options yet to be named. The projected opening date is sometime next March. Neighbors at the 1611 West 5th address include Lucky’s Puccias brick and mortar and Mean Eyed Cat.
