ELVIS WIRE — Chuy’s, the Tex-Mex chain that is so obsessed with Elvis Presley that there’s a shrine to the King at the Barton Springs location, celebrated what would’ve been his 80th birthday yesterday, complete with impersonators, cake, and live performances. The Statesman grabbed photos of the festivities. [Statesman]

DOWNTOWN — Arro loves wine so much that they’re hosting a late-night Wine Lovers Appreciation party on Monday, January 12, from 11pm-2am. Tickets are $25 for red and white wines, and $55 including sparkling wine. The full bar menu as well as special bites will be available. [EaterWire]

NEXT IN LINE — It’s Peche bar manager Larry Miller’s turn for CultureMap’s Next in Line series. He spoke about how electronic dance music gets him moving while mixing drinks and his fondness for bourbon and Manhattans. [CultureMap]
