The most dramatic new addition to Austin's booming hotel market has released new details on their three restaurants. When the JW Marriott opens in February, they will add Italian Osteria Pronto, Texas and tequila-focused Corner, and the walk-up "food-truck style" Burger Bar on Congress to downtown. Menu details are still scarce; according to a press release, Osteria Pronto will serve Italian "classics," Corner will focus on grilled meats and tequila cocktails, and the burger bar will serve burgers, hand-cut fries, and shakes for lunch and early evening.
The gargantuan new hotel has rounded out its culinary team with Johann Runersson as director of food and beverage, general manager Kris Johnson and executive chef Gilberto Ramirez at Osteria Pronto, and executive chef Jennifer Etzkin at Corner. The hotel's overall executive chef Juan Martinez joined the company this fall.
