Take a tour through the city’s tradition of neon signage in honor of Classics Week.

Neon is quintessential in Austin. Go anywhere in the city and the glowing curbed tubes strive to catch the attentions of passersby, beckoning them to enter their establishments for food and booze. Eater Austin took a tour of the city’s most historic iconic neon signage like the burger of Night Hawk’s last remaining spot, the frozen custard of Sandy’s, and just plain pretty fonts like Hut’s Hamburgers and the Horseshoe Lounge.
