Sad news for fans of Live Oak Barbecue's laid-back vibe and inventive Saturday specials: the restaurant will close on January 31. They will maintain limited hours until then. Here's the full announcement from their Facebook page:

The decision has been made to end all business activity at Live Oak Barbecue & Beer on January 31, 2015 at 4PM. The restaurant will operate on a limited schedule from January 25, 2015 until that date; opening at 11AM and closing at 4PM.

The restaurant quietly opened in 2011, when the east side was much less saturated with barbecue options, and boasted offering quality without a wait. Owners Randall and Donya Stockton partnered with pitmaster Tom Spaulding to open the restaurant; the Stockton's other holdings include Rio Rita, The Grackle, Sputnik, Beerland, and newly opened The Aristocrat.
