The ever-expanding ELM Group hired a new service director today: Mark Devin Sayre. Previously the Four Seasons’ beverage director, Sayre’s goal with the restaurant group is to overlook all aspects of service. He will start as the general manager of Arro on January 27 to get acquainted with the ELM way as well as make his own changes. Sayre said in a press release:

"My time spent with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts was an enriching opportunity to shine within a brand built on its service culture," says Mark. "It gave me the opportunity to not only maneuver within the changing climate of Austin diners, but also exposed me to the expectations and requirements of world travelers, which really fueled my commitment to first-rate hospitality. It’s an honor to now partner with the talented folks at ELM Restaurant Group and further elevate the bar for service that they’ve helped establish in the local dining scene."

ELM will open two new restaurants this year: the Italian Italic scheduled to open this spring, Irene’s, the more down home concept this summer, and Easy Tiger’s North Austin expansion this fall. Arro will also debut a Sunday Champagne brunch sometime next month.
