Austin City Limits And Austin Food & Wine Festival Team Up For a Texas Chef Showcase

Austin chefs Jack & Bryce Gilmore, Alexis Chong, David Bull and Andrew Wiseheart join top Texas talent cooking at the mega-festival.

A different Texas chef will cook every day of ACL this year as part of a partnership with the Austin Food & Wine Festival. The festival's chef showcase will join the Texas Eats food court, where participants will offer festival-friendly casual fare. Notably, Andrew Wiseheart will be previewing more of Gardner's vegetable-focused dishes. Here's the full lineup, from a press release from the Austin Food & Wine festival:

Friday, October 3: Bryce Gilmore & Jack Gilmore (Odd Duck & Jack Allen's Kitchen, Austin)

  • Baja Fish Tacos - two for $9
  • Kolache with Goat Sausage - $8
  • Grilled Whole Quail - $12

Saturday, October 4: Jason Dady (Umai MiSan Antonio)

  • Classic Texas BBQ Chopped Beef Frito Pie with Cherry Tomatoes, Cheddar, Sour Cream and Scallions - $8
  • Bacon Frito Pie with Braised Pork Belly, Crispy Bacon, Jack Cheese and Roasted Tomatillo Salsa - $9
  • JBG Organic Farms Chili Frito Pie (vegetarian) - $7
  • Nutella Frito Pie with Marshmallow, Nutella Ganache and Graham Cracker Nougat - $8

Sunday, October 5: Blaine Staniford (Grace Restaurant, Fort Worth)
