Lockhart barbecue institution Kreuz Market has big expansion plans in the works, and they are concerned an ex-employee left with key information. The Statesman reports that Kreuz seeks to depose Brian Thornton, who quit earlier this summer in a rush. Court documents state:
It is believed that Thornton, at or just before the time he resigned from Kreuz, took possession of company documents, including company trade secrets, in paper form and/or by placing electronic versions on a flash drive or other devices . . . It is further believed that Thornton deleted electronic copies of these documents from the Kreuz computer system so that such documents would no longer be accessible by KreuzKreuz has plans to open another outpost in Bryan, and other unnamed possibilities are on the table as well.
