1) Banger's Oktoberfest — The sausage and beer obsessives at Banger's kick of a two-week-long Oktoberfest this weekend with all sorts of wild events. Saturday features an 11 a.m. gun salute, a 2 p.m. meat raffle, and a 4 p.m. stein hoist (?); Sunday there's a cornhole tournament at 1 p.m. and chicken shit bingo at 4p.m. Plus live music, many german-style sausages, and duh, a shitload of beer.
2) MondoCon — Part of the Alamo Drafthouse's Fantastic Fest, MondoCon runs this weekend at the Marchesa Hall. The celebration of all things geeky includes lots of food trucks, a special Dogfish Head beer, and nerd-tastic cocktails.
3) Oasis Texas Brewing Oktoberfest — Oasis and new partners Noble Sandwich Co. will host an Oktoberfest celebration this Saturday, September 20. Expect lots of beer & sausages from Noble; there's a shuttle running from The Draught House for central Austinites who want to both drink and travel safely.
4) Jazz Brunch — Hotel San Jose reintroduces their buffet-style jazz brunch this Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.. The buffet is $24/person, and there's mimosas and other booze available as well.
