P. Terry's Ditches Drive-Thru at New Downtown Location

Beloved local burger chain P. Terry's will open a new location smack in the middle of downtown Austin. Owner Patrick Terry tells Community Impact their 10th location will open at 515 Congress Avenue by the end of 2014.

This will be the first P. Terry's not located in one of their iconic standalone buildings with drive-thru windows designed by restaurant wizard Michael Hsu, though Terry says the interior will still offer a P. Terry's "experience." The chain plans to grow to 12 Austin locations by the end of 2015.

Update! P. Terry's tells Eater the new location in the former Extreme Pita space will be open late night, though hours have not yet been determined. They will also add an additional grill to fill out large business orders during the week.
