A third of Paul Qui's flagship restaurant sat empty for the past year, awaiting the launch of Qui's ticketed tasting room. Now, the moment has finally come. Tickets are now listed on Qui's website for $120, starting on Friday, September 12. The tasting room offers 6 p.m. seatings for up to four diners Wednesday - Friday, plus one Saturday, also the last date currently available: October 4. The restaurant requires a 48-hour cancellation notice; otherwise patrons will be charged the full amount of the tickets, a fairly standard practice in high-end dining these days. All nights already appear to be sold out. Correction: now some availability is showing up again, based on Eater's hyper-scientific refreshing.

Qui's tasting room will feature a range of 20-25 courses, with prices hovering a bit above the $100 range. Paul Qui previously told Eater two seatings are planned for the tasting room, so keep your eyes peeled for more options to potentially open up. The restaurant is using a service provided by Restaurant Connect. A competing ticketed dining system designed by Alinea's Nick Kokonas will expand nationwide this fall, and at least one unnamed Austin restaurant is signed on.
