Another day, another new Austin coffee venture: Yesterday family-owned Lucky Lab Coffee Co. announced the official launch of their mobile coffee bar, which donates 50 percent of all tips to local nonprofits. The trailer mimics the trendy wood and metal design scheme found at many of Austin's brick & mortar coffee shops, but when it comes to the menu, they're keeping it simple — no nitro cold-brew drafts here — and serving locally roasted Third Coast Coffee in a handful of different iterations including traditional drip, espresso shots, Americanos, lattes and iced coffee, plus tea lattes, chai and hot chocolate. Milk options include soy and almond and there are flavored syrups for those that feel the need to make things peppermint-flavored. Lucky Lab will focus mostly on catering private and corporate events in the future (espresso-fueled team-building exercises, anyone?) but for now, they've set up shop Monday through Friday at the U.S. 290 and Highway 71 "Y" in Oak Hill (6911 W. Highway 290).
