1. Another popular food truck has successfully gone brick and mortar. Garbo's Restaurant opened late last week in Wells Branch with a menu of their popular lobster rolls as well as specials like steamer clams and seared scallops. Garbo tells CultureMap she chose Wells Branch over a more central location because, "People want something fun and hip that they don't have to drive 25 miles to." Beer and wine permits are in the works, but as of now Garbo's is BYOB. [CultureMap]
2. Chen Z has a new location in Austin, this time in Oak Hill. Chen Z Noodle House opened quietly a few weeks ago at 6705 W. 290 in the same shopping center that will soon be home to Detroit pizza phenoms Via 313's first restaurant. According to early Yelp reviews, the restaurant is serving handmade noodles, buns, dumplings, and other Chinese classics in a stripped-down space. [Yelp]
3. Round Rock gets a new Korean/Japanese restaurant called Miso at 2400 S. IH 35. Check it out for pork katsu, kimchi pancakes, and Korean stews like kimchi and spicy tofu. [Yelp]
4. The Scarlet Rabbit is now open at 410 W. Main Street in Round Rock. The playful Texas bistro with an Alice in Wonderland theme is open for lunch, dinner, and brunch. [EATX]
