Franklin Barbecue Employee Says He Fist Bumped Obama for Equal Rights

Franklin Barbecue employee Daniel Rugg Webb fist bumped Barack Obama during the president's visit, and Rugg says it was a fist bump for gay rights. The Chronicle talks with Webb, a well-known comedian, artist, and musician, and gets his story behind the bump:

As the president approached, Webb threw his hand down and slapped the counter dramatically. 'Equal rights for gay people!'
'Are you gay?' the president asked.
'Only when I have sex.'
That's when he laughed and said, 'Bump me,' Webb says.
Webb also notes that Obama had a lengthy conversation with an activist calling for an end to deportations.
