Paul Qui celebrates the first anniversary of his flagship restaurant Qui with some major menu evolution. The restaurant's long-awaited tasting room will launch later this summer, and Qui tells Eater the main dining room will switch to tasting menu only at the same time.
For those who still wish to order individual dishes, the restaurant's pulutan patio menu will expand dramatically. Read on for the full breakdown of Qui's three new menus, exclusive to Eater.
Qui's Three Menus, Coming This Summer
1. The Tasting Room — A ticketed dining experience of 20-25 courses, whose price point will hover around the $100 dollar range, determined by "availability of product." Qui notes, "I will never say no to amazing sea urchin, wild buri, or A5 wagyu."
2. The Main Dining Room — Starting in late summer, the main 50-seat dining room at Qui will be tasting menu only, with a format and price point based on the current Paul's Picks tasting menu, priced at $60. Update: an all-vegetarian option is also in the works.
3. The Patio and Bar — The restaurant's Filipino pub-food pulutan menu will expand dramatically starting this Sunday, July 6. They will celebrate the launch with a special "kebab" barbecue by Eater Young Gun semi-finalist Rob Jacob Drennan. The event will also feature a special tasting menu in the main dining room.
