1) A new restaurant specializing in Pakistani cuisine is now open at the intersection of I-35 and Howard Lane. Chapli Kebabs and Curries garners good reviews from several Yelpers; Yelper Asim J. calls it "Possibly the best Pakistani food in Austin." [Yelp]

2) National chain Bambu Desserts and Drinks opened recently in the Chinatown center. They specialize in Vietnamese desserts, milk teas, and coffees. [Yelp]

3) Scratch cooking and Moroccan recipes are on the menu at newly opened Gyros Greek Cafe, according to Chowhounder slowcooked. The report: " I had the standard lamb gyro (good, but seemed like the Kronos style stuff) on the plate with a cold green bean / herb / red onion salad (fantastic !!), the lentil veggie soup (fantastic !!), the hummus (maybe the best in town), and a little greek salad (they need to dress it, maybe forgot). This place is cute and impeccably clean and well worth stopping in." [Chowhound]

4) South Austin staple Summermoon Coffee now operates a location in Buda. Yes, they are serving their not-at-all-creepy-sounding moon milk and wood-roasted coffee. [Yelp]

5) Vegan sandwiches? Vegan sandwiches. Newly opened trailer Pulse Vegan specializes in veganizing sandwich classics like the French dip. Open in the South Austin food court at Live Oak. [Yelp]
